Talk ‘n’ Thought
Talk & Thought (TnT) is a women’s book group that gathers on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the church.
This group was begun over 40 years ago by a group of intergenerational women using books to explore and share their understanding of life and belief.
We will begin See No Stranger: A Memoir and Manifesto of Revolutionary Love by Valarie Kaur in spring 2024. You are welcome to jump in anytime!

fireside friends
Fireside Friends, a sewing group dedicated to making (at least!) two quilts per year, meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the quilting studio (downstairs from the sanctuary). All are welcome - no experience required.
Whether you prefer hand-sewing, machine-sewing, or working the long arm quilting machine, you’ll have fun with this group!

Lace ‘em up for VHUMC Ramblers
vhumc ramblers
The VHUMC Ramblers walk on Monday mornings at 9:00 am.
We walk for about an hour at different parks and neighborhoods in SW Portland. If you would like to be put on the mailing list and join us for some exercise and good company, email officeVHUMC@gmail.com
VHUMC Travelers
Join us for fun travels and earn money for our church. The VHUMC Travelers group alternates between overseas journeys and closer-to-home adventures. For every 11 travelers, the church earns a rebate.
