Memorial Service  Clark K. Henry, a former member of VHUMC, passed in April.  His memorial service will be Saturday, September 7, at 1:00 pm at Old Town Church, 2224 15th Ave, Forest Grove.

School Supplies  Help the Hayhurst Elementary students by providing school supplies.  Find the list of requested items in the lobby or here.  The Children’s Task Force thanks you for your generosity!

BrainStorming with Bo  On September 8, we begin “God is Not One,” a look at the major religions of the world and how we all connect.  Join us in the Fireside Room at the new time, 9:30 am.

Membership Class  If you would like to learn more about membership in Vermont Hills, please attend on Sunday, September 15, after coffee time.  Pastor Bo will lead the session which will last about 90 minutes.

Capital Improvement Campaign  We’re close to raising the $6000 needed for a new heat pump for the Fireside Room.  Donate online or mark your check for CIC.  Let’s get this done!

Talk N Thought  The “dynamite” ladies of TnT have chosen their next book, “The Road to Little Dribbling” by Bill Bryson.  It’s a humorous travel book and a sequel to his bestseller, “Notes From a Small Island.”  Join them on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm in the Fireside Room.  There’s always great conversation, snacks, and reading/discussing insightful books.

Sunnyside Needs  Items that are always needed for their homeless ministry: new socks and underwear, laundry detergent, gently used jeans and towels. Put your items in the “treasure box” by the church office door.  Thank you!
