Worship Time continues at 10:00 am through the end of August.
All Church Work Party Let’s gather on Friday, August 2 at 10:00 am for a couple of hours of performing small tasks that make a big difference in how our church appears to visitors.
Memorial Service You’re invited to attend a celebration of life for Sig-Linda’s mother, Sarah Jacobson, who passed away earlier this year. The service will be Saturday, August 3, at 11:00 am, here at VHUMC.
Worship in the Great Outdoors! We will worship outside at 10:00 am on Sunday, August 4, with plenty of music, great conversation, and communion. Kind of like our usual first Sunday of the month, but with a breeze! Plenty of stable seating in shady spots, so please plan to attend on this special Sunday.
National Neighborhood Night Out On Tuesday, August 6, we’ll be handing out balloons and info at Alpenrose Dairy. Come be a friendly face to our neighbors between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Did I mention the free ice cream?
Town Hall Meeting Another reason for a potluck! After worship on Sunday, August 11, we’ll gather, eat, and learn more about the Seven Passions of VHUMC. Please bring a dish to share.
Multnomah Days Parade On Saturday, August 17, let’s make our presence known by marching in a parade! This is Multnomah Village’s largest event of the year, bringing in 7000+ people. The parade begins at 10:00 am, with live entertainment, vendors, and food all day. If interested, please contact Bryan Cooper at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Capital Improvement Campaign The furnaces that serve the ground floor of the main building need to be replaced (they’re older than Pastor Bo!) Trustees and Church Council have voted to replace them with heat pumps, allowing us to heat just the rooms in use, rather than the entire floor. We’ve raised 30% of the $6000 needed. Please prayerfully consider donating, above and beyond your Sunday offering, to this need. Checks should be marked for CIC. You may also donate through the Online Giving on our website.
Membership Class If you would like to learn more about membership in Vermont Hills, please attend on Sunday, September 15, after coffee time. Pastor Bo will lead the session which will last about 1 – 1.5 hours.
Voluntary Disclosure Form If you work with children at VHUMC, please complete and return one of these forms to the church office.
Fred Meyer Community Rewards Link your FM Rewards card with Vermont Hills United Methodist Church (code SY323) and the church will receive a percentage of all your purchases. In two months, only four families have linked their card. Let’s triple that by the end of summer! If you have questions, please contact the church office. We want to help!
Sunnyside Needs Items that are always needed for their homeless ministry: new socks and underwear, laundry detergent, gently used jeans and towels. Put your items in the “treasure box” by the church office door. Thank you!
