Worship Time continues at 10:00 am through the end of August.

Donuts with Dad  This Sunday, let’s celebrate the special men in our lives.  We’ll begin at 9:30 am with donuts in the lobby.  Worship will end a little early for those wishing to attend the Pride Parade.

Pub Chat  This Tuesday is our monthly Pub Chat where we gather for good food, libations, and lively conversation!  We meet at The Lodge at Cascade Brewing, 7424 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, at 6:00 pm.  You can find our topic on our website.

Book Group On Wednesday evenings beginning this week, we’ll be reading and discussing the book, “Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community” by Robert Putnam.  Join us at 7:00 pm in the Fireside Room.

All Church Field Trip  Let’s all go to the Japanese Gardens on Saturday, June 22!  We’ll meet here at the church at 1:00 pm to travel together.  Be sure to bring sunscreen (or raingear), $20 for admission, and your camera – the gardens are always photogenic!

Beaverton Pride Parade On Sunday, June 23, Beaverton will be hosting their first Pride Parade and we will be there!  We’re looking for friendly folks who are willing to spend an hour or two at our table, making friends.  Please notify Virginia or Bryan Cooper if you can help anytime between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.

Outdoor Games Night  For our Fifth Sunday Game Night, we will play the big games in the great outdoors!  From 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 30, here at the church.

“Retirement” Party  July 7 we will celebrate Elizabeth “Boofy” Brown and her 12 years of ministry here at VHUMC with a traditional potluck after the service. If you have any photos that you’d like to share, please email them to the church office.  Please plan to attend on July 7 and wish her the best!

Save the Date  We will be co-hosting a family-friendly movie in Pendleton Park on Saturday, July 13.  Live music and fun begins at 6:30 pm, followed by the movie at dusk. You may bring a picnic or purchase from a food cart. We’ll have a table there to meet and greet our neighbors.  If you’d like to be involved, contact Bryan Cooper.

Fred Meyer Community Rewards  Link your FM Rewards card with Vermont Hills United Methodist Church (code SY323) and the church will receive a percentage of all your purchases.  If you need assistance, drop by the church office on Wednesdays or Thursdays, 9:00 – 2:00.

Donation Box  During Pride Month we are collecting items for SMYRC, a group which supports queer and trans homeless youths.  Please bring new toiletries and cosmetics (all skin colors), and gently used shoes (large sizes, any gender), wigs, and fashion accessories.

Auction Items  Check the table in the lobby for info on fun events which still have a spot for you!

Sunnyside Needs  Items that are always needed for their homeless ministry: new socks and underwear, laundry detergent, gently used jeans and towels. Put your items in the “treasure box” by the church office door.  Thank you!

Talk N Thought  The “dynamite” ladies of TnT are reading “Educated: A Memoir” by Tara Westover.  Join them every Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Fireside Room and share in great conversation, snacks, and reading/discussing insightful books.
