Navajo Nation Relief  You may have heard that the Navajo Nation has a larger outbreak of COVID-19 per capita than any other area in the country, yet the money provided by the CARES Act is just now trickling in.  You can help by contributing – and your gift will go directly to the families who need it.  Mail your check to First United Methodist Church of Cortez, PO Box 1016, Cortez, CO 81321.  Mark checks on memo line for Navajo COVID Relief Project.  Thank you.

Get Excited!  Here’s something to do with all your free time…the church is in need of re-painting.  Pastor Bo has volunteered to prep areas, so that all you need to do is show up and paint. Email him at and arrange your time slot.

Giving  We have a new method of giving, the mobile app GivePlus.  Download the free app and find our church by entering the zip code, 97221, or Vermont Hills United Methodist.  If you already use our online giving, enter that username and password, or create a new account.  You can give either from your bank account or a credit card.  You have the option to add 1 – 2.65% to offset the fees charged to the church.

“A Night at the Opera” Auction News  Thank you to those who have contacted the church office with donations of items and (safe distance) services.  If you have items that you would like to donate, there’s still time.  Email us the description, photo, and approximate value.  Thanks!!

Amazon Smile  Do you shop online? Amazon will donate a small percentage to VHUMC for every eligible purchase.  You must designate Vermont Hills as your charity of choice and start at every visit.  Contact the church office with any questions.
