Senior Sunday We will celebrate Lizzie R’s high school graduation on Sunday, June 2, with a potluck and more. Plan to bring a dessert (last name beginning with A – L) or side (M – Z) to share; meat will be provided.
Summer Worship Hour We will begin worship at 10:00 am during the summer (June, July, and August) in an effort to beat the heat.

Movie in the Park Hayhurst Neighborhood Association will host a Free Movie in the Park event on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Pendleton Park. Entertainment will begin at 6:30 pm with a performance by the Hula Halau ‘Ohana Holo’oko’a Band, a Hawaiian music group. Hotel Transylvania 3, a family-friendly animated film, will begin at dusk. This free event is open to all and everyone is invited to attend. VHUMC is a sponsor, so watch for opportunities to get involved! Sunnyside Needs If you have extra, gently used jeans or towels, Sunnyside Community House could use them for their homeless ministry. Laundry detergent is also requested. Put your items in the “treasure box” by the church office door. Thank you!

ImBible Study Our feisty, fantastic bible study group is reading the book of James. Join us on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the Fireside Room, with an optional second act at the pub afterwards. And coming in June – we will be reading and discussing the book, “Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community” by Robert Putnam.
Talk N Thought The “dynamite” ladies of TnT are reading “Educated: A Memoir” by Tara Westover. Join them every Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Fireside Room and share in great conversation, snacks, and reading/discussing insightful books.
