Preview for Sunday:

Photo Directory  We will continue to take photos after worship, on Sunday mornings through Easter, just in case you have a CEO (Christmas and Easter Only) family member.  You may also email a photo to the church office, if you prefer.

Easter Sunday  We will be creating a flower-bedecked cross in the sanctuary.  Please bring blooms from your garden that morning.

All Church Work Party  This Saturday, April 6, is our last work party before Easter.  Let’s spruce up our beautiful church and grounds for visitors!  We’ll gather at 10:00 am and be done by lunch.  There’s something for everyone to do.

Tulip Farm  A literal “field” trip to Woodburn, OR, to see acres of gorgeous tulips.  We’ll leave after church this Sunday, April 7.  Bring a sack lunch, beverage, and shoes for possible muddy conditions.

VHUMC Travelers  Is Africa a “bucket list” travel destination?  Africa is filled with wild life and natural beauty. The Travelers, a fun and fearless group from our church, are planning a trip in 2020.  Come to the meeting on April 18 at 7:00 pm in the Fireside Room for more information.

Scrip Sunday  Next Sunday, April 14, stock up on the basics.  Consider buying gift cards to donate to the auction.  Questions?  Contact Linda Miller at 503.929.6696

SW Hope Food Drive  This annual event benefits the emergency food pantry at Neighborhood House.  Cash donations are particularly appreciated, since they can purchase four pounds of food for every dollar given.  Checks may be made out to VHUMC with SW Hope in the memo.  The food drive ends on April 14.

BrainStorming with Bo  Join us at 9:00 am in the Fireside Room — and discover just how much fun Sunday School can be! This Sunday’s topic is “Q is for Queer Theology”
