Change is in the Air!  This Sunday is the deadline to let Janet and Mark know what you are donating to the auction.  They can be reached at or 503.244.8670.  Your items must be brought to church this week (except fresh edibles).  Our office will be open Monday through Thursday, 9am to 2pm.

If you would like to donate gift cards, you may order them through our scrip program today and they will arrive in time. Scrip Sundays are this Sunday, May 20th and June 10th.   This church fundraiser does not cost you anything!  Scrip is purchased at the value of the gift card, and the church receives the percentage listed on the form.  Cards may be ordered today for the auction, Mother’s Day, graduations, and the essentials you buy every day.  Look for the order form attached to this email.

Dining Out for Life  Dine out at participating restaurants and a portion of your bill will be donated to Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon’s HIV Day Center and Partnership Project to support people living with HIV/AIDS.  A list of participating restaurants is at

Emergency Contact and Volunteer Skills Inventory  The Connexions Team is gathering   information all about you! Please take the time to tell us how we can help you in an emergency, and how you can help your church family.  Forms are available on the Welcome table.

Adult Sunday School   Sunday School has become a workshop and think-tank. Pastor Bo is bringing five of his favorite ideas, to see how they might look at VHUMC.  Join us in the Fireside Room at 9am to explore and shape the future.

Progressive Bible Study  This isn’t your father’s bible study!  You may have read the gospel of Mark several times but this hour will open you up to something new and thought-provoking.  Every Wednesday night at 7pm in the Fireside Room.  Join us and explore the Bible. It might look very different than it did before.
