Naked in the New Year
In 2022 we want to invite you to come on a 12-week journey that will strip off all of the religious baggage that weighs you down and holds you back. ‘Naked Spirituality’ by Brian McLaren will shape our theme on Sunday mornings, in both our 10:30 am worship service and our adult Sunday School, BrainStorming with Bo, at 9:30 am.  Both gatherings are in-person and in our Zoom room (meeting ID 409 087 237).  We begin our journey on Jan 16.

Fireside Friends
Fireside Friends, our new quilting group, meets this Monday, Jan 3, and every 1st and 3rd Monday, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Fireside room.  All crafters are welcome!  Contact Elizabeth B or the church office (officevhumc@gmail.com) for more information.

Rest and Relaxation
Pastor Bo is taking this coming week off for some much-needed R&R.  Please email the church office with any questions or issues.

Condolences
Harriette H died on Dec 26, surrounded by family, after a brief, sudden illness.  Although she didn’t attend VHUMC for long, she will be sorely missed.

Quilts on Display
This Sunday is the last day to view Edna B’s handmade quilts in the chapel (to the right of the main entrance)   The photos on Facebook are nice, but the quilts are really spectacular in person!
