A Big Thank You!
Thank you so much for all the warm items you donated at last Sunday’s drive-thru.  A few dozen jackets, sweaters, hoodies, gloves, and blankets will be given to those who need them.  Hand-knitted items will go to Blanchett House.  And over a dozen gift cards will brighten up Christmas for Hayhurst families.
Thanks also to Katie Simpson, Mary Turk, and Susan Zotter for assembling the bags!

Christmas Carols
Stick around after worship this Sunday as we sing our favorite Christmas carols.  We may be apart but we are always together in the Spirit!

Blue Christmas
Blue Christmas helps us to acknowledge the longest night of the year with a worshipful space for those experiencing grief, loss, or the absence of joy. This Advent and Christmas are like no other in recent memory. Many of us are having difficulty getting into the spirit of the season. Because of this, members of the Greater Northwest Area Cabinet will offer a Blue Christmas Service, available online beginning on Sunday, Dec 20, at 4:00 pm. The service will remain available after it’s original posting. Visit the website for complete information.

Immersed: An Advent Journey
All are invited by Pastor Brett Stuvland to attend a special presentation at Westside UMC. An opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the scripture and music of this season.  Offered every evening through Epiphany (Jan 6.)  Each group has a private 2-hour timeslot for safety. Learn more and register for your slot at

Pledge Cards
Don’t forget to send in your pledge card.  The finance team begins work on the 2021 budget soon.  And don’t forget that there are special deductions for donations to non-profits in 2020.  See this flyer for more information.

BrainStorming with Bo  We continue “Expanding the Conversation.”  Join us at 9:30 am on Sunday using the link above.  Next month, we’ll begin a study using the book, Acts: A Theological Commentary on the Bible, by Willie James Jennings.  Put it on your Christmas wish list!

The Stitchuation
Cold weather has returned and, with it, the need for warm clothing for the homeless.  If you knit or crochet, please consider making a gender-neutral hat, scarf or gloves for Blanchet House.  Adult sizes only. Here’s a link to a list of beginner patterns:  Contact the office with any questions.
