End of Year Giving  Help us meet our close our financial gap by prayerfully considering a gift above and beyond your regular giving.  For your convenience, you may give by text (see below) or online at

Gift Cards for Hayhurst  The elementary school’s new principal is requesting only gift cards for the families we help at Christmas.  Fred Meyer is suggested since it’s good for so many items – food, clothing, toys, even gasoline.  Cards must be at church by this Sunday, Dec 15.

A Caroling We Go  You’re invited to go caroling with us this Saturday in the Hayhurst neighborhood. We’ll meet in Fellowship Hall for a soup supper at 5:00 pm, with caroling afterwards.

Sanders’ Open House  All are invited to Pastor Bo and CJ’s new home at 2529 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy.  Drop by anytime between noon and 2:00 pm on Sunday, Dec 15.  Visitor parking is limited; please plan to park on SW 25th Ave/Kanan St unless you need the closer parking.

The Stitchuation  Join us with your stitchery of choice, a friend, and a snack if desired, on Monday, Dec 16, at 6:00 pm in the Fireside Room.  We’d love to see you there!

Blue Christmas Service  West Portland UMC, 4729 SW Taylors Ferry Rd, is offering a service for those who have sorrows associated with this time of year.  Saturday, Dec 21, at 7:00 pm.  Release the pain to receive the joy.

Christmas Eve Service  Experience this traditional candlelight service with us. Invite your friends and family!  Tuesday, Dec 24, at 7:00 pm

Fifth Sunday Game Night  Join us on Sunday, Dec 29, at 4:00 pm in the Fireside & Big Rooms for card and board games, ping pong and pool.  Bringing friends and snacks are encouraged!

Help Needed  Participate more fully one Sunday a month by ushering, reading, or running the slide show.  It’s easier than you think!  Contact the church office for more details.

Backup Requested  We need one or two persons to cover for Lorraine and/or Virginia when they are out-of-town.  Responsible for picking up leftovers at Starbucks on Scholls Ferry (just off Hwy 217) or two KFC locations in Beaverton, and then delivering the food to Neighborhood House.  Contact the church office if you can help.  It makes a big difference to the families served by NH.

Giving by Text  Safe and simple. Text the dollar amount to 844.958.1124 and get a link to provide your billing information.

ImBible Study  Jesus moves to Wednesday nights at 7:00!  We will resume on January 8 with the 9th chapter of Luke.

Fred Meyer Community Rewards  If you shop at Freddy’s, please make sure to link your FM Rewards card with Vermont Hills United Methodist Church (code SY323) and the church will receive a percentage of all your purchases.  It costs you nothing and you still receive all your usual benefits.

Bethlehem House of Bread  Their mission is to provide not only food but also clothing and household essentials, such as baby formula, diapers, and personal hygiene products, for those going through challenging times.  Please donate as you are able to the “treasure box” by the church office.  Thank you!

Talk N Thought  The “dynamite” ladies of TnT are reading “The Road to Little Dribbling” by Bill Bryson.  Join them on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm in the Fireside Room.  There’s always great conversation, snacks, and reading/discussing insightful books.  They will not meet on Dec 24 and 31.
