Charge Conference This Sunday, Nov 4, from 2:00 – 5:00. Please plan to attend at Christ UMC, 12755 NW Dogwood St, Portland.
All Church Work Party We rescheduled the November work party to be on the second Saturday, Nov 10. We gather at 10:00 am and do valuable tasks that keep our campus thriving.
A Prayer for Health, Healing, and Wholeness On Sunday, Nov 11, at 6:00, we will have a special service for our physical and mental well-being. Come. Restore your soul, your health, and your spirit.
Town Hall Meeting The Finance Team will be providing us with coffee and treats as we take a little time after worship on Sunday, Nov 18, to celebrate 2018 and anticipate 2019.
Georgia Koehler Georgia will be living the rest of her days with her son, Dean. Her new address is 8450 SW Homestead St, Portland 97225.
Wreath Sale Our weekday friends, the Southwest Parent Child Collective, are having a wreath sale. There will be order forms available in Fellowship Hall on Sunday. The preschool receives 50% of the proceeds. Orders are due by Nov 11 at the latest, with checks payable to SWPCC. The wreaths will be delivered to the church on Nov 20. Let’s continue to build a strong relationship!
Grocery Bags Needed Our Hayhurst Backpack Ministry uses 24 bags per week to pack food for children who might otherwise go hungry over the weekends. Please bring any large paper bags with handles to church. Save and bring them all year!
Spotlight On… UMCOR! United Methodist Committee on Relief works globally to alleviate human suffering and advance hope and healing. They currently are working disasters from Hurricanes Michael and Florence, Typhoon Mangkhut, and the earthquakes and tsunami in Indonesia. Progressive Bible Study We’re reading the book of Hebrews. We’ve had new folks join us every week, so it’s not too late for you to chime in. In the Fireside Room on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. You *will* come away with a new way to look at the Bible.
Talk N Thought The “dynamite” ladies of TnT would love to have you join them every Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Fireside Room. They are reading “I Am Mahala.” Expect great conversation, yummy snacks, and reading/discussing insightful books.
