Family Promise  We have been considering a new partnership with a group that helps families in transition. Please take a look at the information at https://vermonthillsumc.org/family-promise-potential-partnership before Sunday to learn about this ministry and seriously consider what role we might play in Family Promise.  A representative will be at the table this Sunday to discuss the possibilities with Bo and answer some questions.

All Church Work Party  On Saturday, Feb 1, we’ll be cleaning up the Fireside and Big Rooms, in preparation for our local Girl Scout troop to use them for their “trial run” of camping.  Other tasks, indoors and out, are available.  Only a two-hour commitment: 10:00 – noon.  Be there!

BrainStorming with Bo  Order your book now for the Feb 2 beginning of the study, “The Church of Us vs. Them.”  Available at smile. Amazon.com!

Fullness of Life  Explore the three practices of a vital church – inclusion, innovation, and multiplication – with the district’s Innovation and Vitality Team.  Saturday, Feb 8, 9:00 – 2:30 at Tabor Heights UMC, 6161 SE Stark St.  Register at www.umoi.org/fullness-of-life.

Get Involved!  Fill out a card this Sunday and let us know how you would like to connect in 2020.  Step outside of your comfort zone and try something new!

Amazon Smile  Do you shop online? Amazon will donate a small percentage to VHUMC for every eligible purchase.  You must start at smile. Amazon.com and designate Vermont Hills as your charity of choice.  Contact the church office with any questions.

Poems  Watch the website for poems used during worship.  January selections are available now.

Bethlehem House of Bread  Thank you to those who donate and deliver. BHoB’s mission is to provide not only food but also clothing and household essentials, such as baby formula, diapers, and personal hygiene products, for those going through challenging times.  We will be expanding our partnership with them soon!

Flowers for Communion Sundays  Please sign up in the lobby if you are able to bring a medium-sized bouquet for the communion table on the first Sunday of the month.

Birthday Cards Needed  The church office needs birthday cards, if you have extras at home.  We will also gratefully accept leftover Christmas cards.  Thanks!

Missed a Sunday?  Catch up on sermons you may have missed on YouTube (videos) or our website (audio podcasts.)

ImBible Study  We’re continuing the book of Luke at 7:00 pm on Wednesday nights in the Fireside Room. Great, insightful conversations – give it a try!

Giving by Text  Safe and simple. Text the dollar amount to 844.958.1124 and get a link to provide your billing information.

Fred Meyer Community Rewards  If you shop at Freddy’s, please make sure to link your FM Rewards card with Vermont Hills United Methodist Church (code SY323) and the church will receive a percentage of all your purchases.  It costs you nothing and you still receive all your usual benefits.

Talk N Thought  Join the “dynamite” ladies of TnT on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm in the Fireside Room. They are currently reading “The Road to Little Dribbling” by Bill Bryson.  There’s always great conversation, snacks, and reading/discussing insightful books.
