And for those who don’t do Facebook, here it is on Youtube:

For this Sunday, we’re reading Chapter 28 of We Make the Road by Walking: “A New Path to Aliveness”

Meals for the Sanders  As CJ recuperates, they would greatly appreciate having their dinners provided.  Sign up here: https://mealtrain.com/rkzvnd.  As noted on the website, you can deliver to their home or to the church on Sunday or Wednesday.  There’s also an option to donate financially if you’re unable to provide a meal.  Please note that CJ is both gluten- and dairy-free. Thanks!

Labyrinth  This Sunday at 4:00.

Scrip Sunday  Support the church without spending an extra dime.  Buy gift cards (“scrip”) through the church and use them for your groceries, entertainment, and much more.  See the form below for all the different retailers.

Potato Bar!  Yay, it’s that time again – the famous Baked Potato bar is Sunday, March 17, after worship.  Spuds and all the toppings.  This is a fundraiser for different activities that Elizabeth Brown leads for the church, so bring your checkbook or piggybank.

District Table Talks  What really matters to most United Methodists is what happens since the “Traditional” Plan was adopted. The Oregon-Idaho Conference will hold discussion groups called Table Talks 3.0. Our local talk will be held on March 17, 3:00 – 5:00 pm, at First UMC, 1838 SW Jefferson St, in Portland.

Habitat for Humanity  We’re volunteering at Habitat for Humanity again on Saturday, March 30, from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.  The build site is Cully Place, 5640 NE Killingsworth St.  The registration deadline is March 15.

Town Hall Meeting  We’ll continue the conversation about the future (and other matters) during coffee time on March 24.  Plan to stay after worship.

SW Hope Fundraiser  The SW Hope Food Drive benefits the emergency food pantry at Neighborhood House.  Eat at Salvador Molly’s on Monday, March 11, from 4:00 pm to close, to have 20% of your bill donated.  More fundraising events may be found at www.swhope.org

Opportunities to Serve Does your interest lie in marketing, social media, or surfing the ‘net?  Do you make a great cup of coffee?  Do you pay attention during worship?  The church needs more projectionists, coffee hosts, and a person to keep up on the latest ways to grow our attendance.  Sign up during coffee time or contact the office.

Save the Date!  Our annual auction will be on Saturday, May 4.  It’s not too early to begin soliciting donations from businesses you regularly patronize, starting that homemade project, or buying gift cards through our scrip program.  And invite your friends!  They’ll have fun and possibly contribute to our fundraising.

Pathways  A program offered by the Dougy Center for those who have a family member living with an advanced serious illness.  Brochures available by the door to the breezeway.

Talk N Thought  The “dynamite” ladies of TnT would love to have you join them every Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Fireside Room.  Expect great conversation, yummy snacks, and reading/discussing insightful books.  They will begin a new book soon, so attend now to help choose.

Prayer Chain  Please email your prayer requests to PrayerVHUMC@gmail.com. If you do not have access to email, you may call Linda Miller at 503.699.8628.  The ‘Prayers of the People’ is crafted each week from this information; please indicate if your prayer is private.
