Staying Connected
There are lots of activities happening with our church community you need to know about. Please take a few moments to review and mark your calendar.

REMINDER
Pre-Service prayer gathering in the chapel at 10am

1 Scrip Sunday – Sunday, December 10th, is the last opportunity to order Scrip gift cards for your Christmas festivities. Order Sunday after church in the Fellowship Hall and pick up the following Sunday, Dec 17th. Gift cards make good gifts for family (dinner & movie, Home Depot/Lowes for home improvement projects, Powell’s for the reader in the family). They are also good as Thank You gift’s. Remember you receive full value of the card and the church receives a percentage back. A truly win-win for all! A Friend & Family pass is given for a $50 Columbia Sports order.

2 2018 Church Directory Update – In the church lobby is a copy of the current 2017 Church Directory, along with writing utensils and paper for everyone to update any contact information for our upcoming 2018 Church Directory! The changes that are needed are new mailing, home and email addresses, and telephone or cell phone numbers. Please write them down and leave them there, drop them by the church office, or email in to: officeVHUMC@gmail.com

3 Christmas Wrapping Help – We are looking for 8-10 volunteers who are willing to take home a large box and wrap it. The wrapped boxes will be brought back next Sunday, the 17th, to form a Christmas display on the platform that will remain through the New Year and be used in future years as well. The large empty boxes are located in the lobby.

4 December Choir – There is still time to join the choir for December. We meet downstairs, Sundays, from 12-12:30pm. Contact Joy Wegner: 503-244-1238. All voices welcome!

Thank you so much from the Children’s Task Force.
