This summer we want to try something a little different. We will be taking a break from ImBible Study for some lighter reading.
We want to have a conversation about the breakdown of ‘community’ in our culture and specifically the generational differences that are evident.
Bowling Alone “Shows how changes in work, family structure, women’s roles, and other factors have caused people to become increasingly disconnected from family, friends, neighbors, and democratic structures–and how they may reconnect.“
This 2001 book has good insight and frameworks … and will also allow us to talk about what has happened since. This includes:
- Social Media
- Cell Phones
- Political Divide
- Economic Turmoil
We hope that you will come and be a part of this conversation.
